How Better Inputs Produce Better Results
This may be the single most useful thing to get right. The AI Prompt can only work with what you give it: a vague input produces a vague result, and a specific input produces a specific one.
Buyer Conversation
“Buyer has questions.”
“The buyer attended Sunday’s open house and said she hopes to purchase within a year but is unsure whether to improve her credit first or speak with a lender now.”
Seller Situation
“Seller might sell soon.”
“The seller mentioned at a neighborhood event that their kids are heading to college in the fall and they’ve started talking about downsizing sometime in the next year.”
COI Contact
“Old client, haven’t talked in a while.”
“Past client from about 18 months ago who mentioned a new job and a possible kitchen renovation at last contact; no touch since then.”
Market Update
“The market is changing.”
“Active listings in the agent’s target ZIP code rose from 12 to 19 between March and May, while average days on market moved from 21 to 34.”
The pattern in every strong example: a real person or situation, a specific detail, and enough context that the AI doesn’t have to guess. See How to Complete Your Required Inputs for the full standard.
