Deciding What Happens Next

Once you’ve given a tactic a fair trial, there are five honest next moves. Which one fits depends on what actually happened.

• Repeat. You got useful movement and the execution was sustainable. Keep doing it as-is.
• Improve. The result was promising, but the execution itself was weak: same tactic, sharper execution.
• Simplify. There was too much friction or complexity getting in the way. Strip it down to the essential version.
• Reposition. The wrong audience, angle, timing, or channel was the problem: same tactic, different application.
• Pause. No meaningful movement after a genuinely fair trial. Set it aside rather than continuing to force it.
